Functional Foundations is a type of class that focuses on strength, stretching, core, pelvic floor and relaxation. It readies the body for daily activities and can support the body post birth, post injury or to ease everyday aches and pains. We are preparing the body for real life movement… A lot of lifestyles can be sedentary or involve multiple repetitive movements such as lifting, driving, bending, pushing etc. We combat these action types by incorporating multi joint exercises to improve range of movement, build strength and functionality of the body. Relaxation is our final element where we let the body and mind explore different ways to rest. Allowing our bodies to rest is key to refuelling and being the best version of ourselves.
This class is based around real life living and is anything but boring!
